Editorial policy
The rules the desk holds itself to, stated publicly so readers can hold it to them too.
Sources
Primary sources only for legal claims: Regulation (EU) 2025/40 as published in the Official Journal, its annexes, delegated and implementing acts, and European Commission guidance. Trade press may point us to a question; it is never the authority for an answer. Every guide lists its primary sources.
Dates
Published dates are real. A guide's checking date moves only when the guide is genuinely re-read against the regulation text. Volatile figures (penalties, register arrangements, delegated-act timetables) are written as dated snapshots.
Voice
The desk writes as a knowledgeable explainer, not as a practising adviser. Obligations are attributed to the articles that create them. The site never claims a compliance position for any individual company, never invents fees, deadlines or eligibility rules, and never presents an interpretation as the text when the text says something narrower.
Corrections
Errors are corrected in the guide and recorded on the corrections page with the date and the reason. Silent edits to legal claims do not happen here.
